Nancy Rae was appointed executive vice president, Human Resources and Communications for Chrysler LLC on July 2, 2008. Previously, she was senior vice president of Human Resources and Corporate Communications for Chrysler LLC.
In her current position, Ms. Rae is responsible for the delivery of Human Resources processes, programs and policies. She is aligned on delivering operational excellence through high value-add systems and processes, leadership development by attracting, engaging and developing future leaders and management of human capital. She is also responsible for Chrysler Corporate, Product and Internal Communications, reporting to Chrysler Chairman and CEO Robert Nardelli.
Ms. Rae joined Chrysler Corporation in May 1978 in Human Resources at the Warren, Michigan Truck Assembly Plant and has held a number of management positions in Human Resources since.
Ms. Rae is co-chair of The Economic Alliance for Michigan, a member of the Board of Trustees for Lighthouse of Oakland County and the Inforum Center for Leadership Board of Directors. She is also on the Board of Trustees of the Chrysler Foundation and Board of Directors for the Walter P. Chrysler Museum.
Ms. Rae's awards and recognition include: 2005 Profiles in Diversity Journal, Women Worth Watching; 2005 HR Executive Magazine, top 25 Most Powerful Women in HR; 2005 Automotive News, Second-time honoree for 2005 Class of Automotive News Leading Women in North American Auto Industry; 2005 Arbor Award; 2003 Eddy Award, Pensions & Investments magazine; and 2003 Human Resource Executive magazine, Honor Roll.
Ms. Rae received a B.S. in business administration in management from Eastern Michigan University, 1978 and an M.A. in industrial relations from Central Michigan University, 1981 and managing global opportunities, Harvard Business School, 1999.
