Mr. Grimm joined Citation Corporation in January 2008 as chief executive officer and a member of the Board of Directors following various senior management positions in the automotive sector.
A twenty-four year industry veteran, Mr. Grimm came to Citation from Visteon Corporation where he was vice president-Global Ford, Materials Management, Powertrain Electronics & Fuel Operations. He was responsible for the $4 billion business relationship with Ford globally, including Jaguar, Land Rover and Volvo. Prior to Visteon, he spent five years at Metaldyne as a vice president in various executive positions, including Commercial Operations, general manager of Forging and Casting Operations as well as having responsibility for global purchasing and quality. While at Metaldyne, he also formed and led an auto parts industry coalition against the federal government-sponsored steel tariffs, which was instrumental in realistically shortening the tariff cycle on behalf of American manufacturers.
Before joining Metaldyne in 2001, Mr. Grimm assumed the role of vice president, Global Strategic Sourcing at Dana Corporation responsible for an $8 billion buy. He joined Dana in 1998 through an acquisition of a Bain Capital owned company. Mr. Grimm started his career at Chrysler Corporation within the Procurement & Supply Office assuming progressive management roles over ten years including extensive powertrain and chassis experience.
A graduate of Hiram College (Ohio) with a B.A. in economics & management, he also received a Master's in business administration from the University of Detroit. In addition, he attended the University of Michigan Executive Management Program, is a MEMA/JAMA Executive Liaison Committee Member and is also a member of the Hiram College Board of Visitors.
