Justin Mirro is a managing director and Head of the Transportation Investment Banking Group at Moelis & Company. He has over 14 years of automotive investment banking experience and has advised on over $16 billion of M&A, debt and equity transactions for automotive assemblers, suppliers, the aftermarket and dealerships. Clients have included General Motors, Ford, Fiat, Aston Martin, MasterCraft, Delphi, Lear, Magna, Johnson Controls, Federal-Mogul, American Axle, Borg Warner, Advanced Accessory Systems, MSX, Key Plastics, Thule, JAC Products, Shanghai Automobile, Oxford Automotive, United Auto Group, Takata, Thyssen Krupp, Avon and Accubuilt.
Mr. Mirro was previously an automotive investment banker with Jefferies & Company, ABN AMRO, Salomon Smith Barney and Schroder Wertheim. Prior to his investment banking career, he worked in the automotive industry as a design and manufacturing engineer for General Motors in Detroit and Toyota in Japan, where he holds a patent for an adjustable suspension component. He was also a technical editor and test driver for Car and Driver Magazine in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
Mr. Mirro has been a member of SAE since 1991 and SEMA since 1998. He received his B.S. in mechanical engineering from the University of Michigan and his M.B.A. from New York University’s Stern School of Business.
