Yuuichi Mabuchi is vice president of Value Network Optimization for Nissan North America, Inc. He is responsible for implementing cross functional activities with Purchasing, Logistics, Design and Manufacturing to reduce and optimize Monozukuri cost in North America and Mexico.

Mr. Mabuchi joined Nissan Motor Corporation, Ltd. in 1982 as an engineer and has held various positions in Japan and the United States. He was director of Production Engineering at Nissan Technical Center North America in Farmington Hills, Michigan. Most recently, he was senior manager for Manufacturing Strategy Planning department at Nissan Motor Corporation where he was in charge of Manufacturing and Industrial Engineering. He was responsible for implementing Nissan’s global allocation and strategy.

Mr. Mabuchi holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Tohoku University. He is the chairman of the Middle Tennessee Japan Society.
