Leading Edge Event for 45 Years
The Center for Automotive Research is the host of an extraordinary automotive industry event that has taken place for 45 years, one that has attracted international attention and provided a laser beam focus on the most complex manufacturing industry in the world. The event has been a platform for luminaries and dignitaries to share perspective and vision and is a major traditional gathering in the state known as the birthplace of the American automotive business.
Attendees represent senior management from automakers and suppliers, along with significant representation from academia, labor and the financial community as well as the business and automotive press.
Initiated by the University of Michigan in 1965, the first Management Briefing Seminars hosted only 30 people. The event grew to attract more than 1,200 attendees annually from more than 35 states and 15 countries. The media coverage of the event has been outstanding due to the impressive gathering of speakers and attendees. More than 100 media outlets have participated in a given year.
