Dan Knott is senior vice president of Purchasing and Supplier Quality, Chrysler Group LLC. In this position, he is responsible for all worldwide purchasing and supplier quality activities, including both product-related components and indirect suppliers and services. He reports directly to Chrysler Group CEO Sergio Marchionne.
Previously, Mr. Knott served as head of Vehicle Engineering and Vehicle Line Executive – A/B Segment since June 2009. In that role, he had full responsibility for all current vehicles and execution of future car, minivan, Jeep®, truck and SRT vehicle programs, along with vehicle development analysis and validation.
Prior to that position, Mr. Knott held the positions of vice president – Car/Minivan/SRT Product Team and vice president – Jeep Product Team for Chrysler LLC. In these positions, he oversaw all planning, engineering, development and launch management activities.
Mr. Knott joined the former Chrysler Corporation in 1988 as senior engineer – Air/Fuel Emission Systems. His professional and academic background also includes:

He is a member of the board of trustees of New Horizons Rehabilitation Services, Inc., a not-for-profit rehabilitation agency providing quality vocational training and job placement services for people with disabilities.
Mr. Knott holds a master of business administration (2002) and a bachelor of science in engineering (1983), both from Michigan State University.
