Susan Brennan is vice president, Manufacturing -- Smyrna and Decherd for Nissan North America, Inc. (NNA). She is responsible for the operation of Nissan's two Tennessee-based plants. She is the senior executive on-site responsible for safety, quality, operations, productivity, environmental compliance and new model introduction of Nissan's key North American products including the Maxima, Altima and Altima Hybrid, Pathfinder, Frontier, and Xterra.
Ms. Brennan, who joined Nissan in October 2008, reports to Bill Krueger, senior vice president, North American Manufacturing, Purchasing and Supply Chain Management and Total Customer Satisfaction.
Before joining Nissan, Ms. Brennan spent 16 years in a variety of manufacturing management roles first at Douglas & Lomason Co. and at Ford Motor Co. During her 13 years at Ford, she served in several plant manager positions before being named director of manufacturing in 2000, director of the manufacturing business office in 2006 and, most recently, director for the automaker's global manufacturing business office.
Ms. Brennan spent five years as a chemical and biological researcher and conducted a breast-cancer epidemiological study at M.D. Anderson Hospital in Houston. She was also a pharmaceutical researcher for Hoechst-Celanese in Corpus Christi, Texas.
In 2005, Ms. Brennan was named by Automotive News as one of the Top 100 Leading Women in the North American Auto Industry. She is vice president of Automotive Women's Alliance; a resource group formed to support Women in the Automotive Industry and has served on the board of directors of the Clara B. Ford Academy in Dearborn, Michigan. She also has been awarded the Distinguished Alumni Award from the University of Nebraska, College of Business Administration.
Ms. Brennan holds a master's degree in business administration from the University of Nebraska and a bachelor of science degree in microbiology from the University of Illinois.

The seminars are designed to foster a casual atmosphere for the informal exchange of ideas. Business casual is appropriate. Others wear more casual polo shirts and slacks.
These are informal events. Attire will vary from sport coats to polo shirts and slacks (for men) and from summer dresses and skirts to pants and shirts (for women).
The first thing to do would be to find a colleague interested in replacing you. If your colleagues are already registered or unable to attend, please inform us in writing that you must cancel. To be eligible for a full refund of fees, notification of cancellation must be received in our office in writing by May 14, 2011. After this date, to be eligible for a refund of fees less the handling charge of $150.00 we must receive your request in writing before July 19, 2011. We regret that we cannot accept requests for refunds after that date.
The registration desk is located in the Governors Prefunction area. We recommend that you pick up your name badge and conference materials at early registration on Sunday, from 5-7 p.m. or on Tuesday from 3:30-7 p.m. The registration desk is also open during the conference sessions. A name badge is required to gain admittance to the sessions. Please note: badges will be distributed the day before or morning of the first day of your registration so you may attend the social hours included in your registration.
