Since 2007, Troy Batterberry has led Microsoft Hohm, the company’s growing startup business focused on providing products and services that enable consumers and utilities to better manage home energy consumption. Troy was recently named one of the Top 15 Smart Grid Influencers by Earth2Tech.
As a 12-year veteran of Microsoft, Mr. Batterberry has served in various leadership roles within the company, creating and delivering dozens of Windows Media Audio and Video products and services that have been used by hundreds of millions of people. Before joining Microsoft in 1997, he worked as a systems engineer at Sony Corporation designing advanced interactive digital television systems for commercial aircraft. Prior to that, Mr. Batterberry was an anti-missile systems engineer for the United States Government, developing “many-dimensional” flight simulation and analysis software.
Mr. Batterberry has a bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering from North Dakota State University, a master’s degree in information systems management from the University of Southern California, and holds numerous patents.
